Krannert Center for the Performing Arts - Urbana, Illinois - 2025
This production of Anastasia was grounded in historical authenticity, with a strong emphasis on accurately representing the period. The costume design was informed by extensive research into the clothing of each location depicted in the story. In particular, the Romanov ballgowns were inspired by period garments worn by the Romanov family and formal dress styles of the 1910s, ensuring a visually authentic portrayal that reflects the elegance and historical context of the era.
Finale dress for Anastasia was based on designer dresses from the 1920s. Then I designed a more princess shaped dress inspired by the 1920s to give the show the princess fairytale feeling.
